that's what today has been.
traffic court breakdown:
show up on time all anxious - prosecutor meets with me right away to tell me he is supposed to offer me a deal. he continues to offer me different deals at which i decline as "i am prepared fully to fight this ticket". i get a new trial date because their was a time conflict with the sub-prosecuter.
i leave the courthouse with my new date.
i call my brother and he says go back and accept the deal.
i go back to the court - prosecutor gone. officer woman there asks if she can help with anything. i let her know that i wanted to accept the prosecutors offer. (note: the offer was to cut my speed to only 5 over.. drop the plea fee and $50 traffic school) the judge standing in his office hears me and says, "have her come back and talk to me".
i go into the judge's office and he says why did you come back? i said "well i just don't want to waste more time in court, i was very prepared for a trial today and since they can't do it today i would just like to accept the deal. " the judge said "well... what was the deal?" i let him know and he responded saying..."you know what - i'll give you a better deal, i'm going to just dismiss your case".
just like that ladies and gentlemen. i didn't even have to put my new knowledge to the test. no paying the court bunches of money for no reason.
and the final LUCK of my day - husband and i went to add my little brother to his account (they do lots of work together building websites). well - we bought a white iphone and brother wanted to just have my black iphone4 and i get the new white one. happy happy lindsay.
overall a decent day.

thank you's and apple.
you know what always makes me feel so good? getting real mail... like from the mail box. that isn't bills. a random thank you note for something little even that someone appreciated. my sweet mother has done this recently and also my darling 10 year old sister. i've decided i'm going to send thank you notes more often.
good ol' fashion - hand written thank you notes. there's something about it that perks your day right up.
next topic:
apple. so i have quite a few apple products.. one of my 2 macbooks had a battery issue come up a couple days ago... and even though it was out of warranty i decided i should still set a genius bar appointment so they could help me nail down what the problem was.
synopsis: battery was done-zo.
so the helpful man said he could replace it for $100 if they keep the damaged battery and he also said for free they could fix the top case where the keyboard is because a piece was peeling only a teeny bit. so i agreed and went on a walk with my sweetie to starbucks. when we returned i had a pretty new keyboard/mousepad and new battery...
kind sir when to ring up the items and said something to the effect of the transaction didn't split correctly so the battery was free! what a lucky day. once again.. apple has made me a happy customer.
