thank you's and apple.

you know what always makes me feel so good?  getting real mail... like from the mail box.  that isn't bills.  a random thank you note for something little even that someone appreciated.  my sweet mother has done this recently and also my darling 10 year old sister.  i've decided i'm going to send thank you notes more often.

good ol' fashion - hand written thank you notes.  there's something about it that perks your day right up.

apple.  so i have quite a few apple products.. one of my 2 macbooks had a battery issue come up a couple days ago... and even though it was out of warranty i decided i should still set a genius bar appointment so they could help me nail down what the problem was.

synopsis: battery was done-zo.

so the helpful man said he could replace it for $100 if they keep the damaged battery and he also said for free they could fix the top case where the keyboard is because a piece was peeling only a teeny bit.  so i agreed and went on a walk with my sweetie to starbucks.  when we returned i had a pretty new keyboard/mousepad and new battery...

kind sir when to ring up the items and said something to the effect of the transaction didn't split correctly so the battery was free!  what a lucky day.  once again.. apple has made me a happy customer.

  1. We had an almost identical experience with our macbook's battery and inner casing last year. They did everything for free. Love them!

  2. TWO macbooks! Jealous. We are dying to buy a desktop Mac, but every time we save money, something comes up, like the car breaking down for the millionth time. Cool that you got your laptop fixed for free!

p.s. Thank you notes are the best!
