Dinner is Served

Sunday dinner is always a favorite around this house.  Today I decided to make Basil Pesto Tilapia with steamed veggies and mashed potatos.  Defintely a tasty meal.  Let me just share that I am just learning to be a cook.  I grew up with a mother who was and AMAZING cook and regret not learning as much as I could from her.  This meal was simple and literally took all of 20 minutes from preperation to serving.  I even put on a cute apron my sweet friend Haley's mama made me a few years ago.  What did you have for Sunday dinner?

Celebrations

last friday some of the girls from my old salon got together to celebrate ashleys birthday (she's not in the picture).  pictured above is the beautiful jessica and rachael - their cousins which is why they do look alike.  i stole this picture from amanda's blog (also not pictured). it was a good time and so good to catch up with these girls - we definitely need to do it more often.

i got eyelash extensions today and let me just say - I LOVE THEM.  you can hardly tell you have them on (they don't feel heavy like i expected).  they look natural and long. i could get used to this - now i really don't have to wear make up since all i normally put on is blush and mascara.  

sorry for the random and practically boring post.  i'm busy until end of may.  but will blog time to time.

cheese manicotti

jared and i bought stuff to make cheese manicotti a couple weeks ago and hadn't got around to it till last night.  of course we were STARVING when we started making it and later read on the recipe that you have to let it bake in the oven for 40 minutes.....

so we made guacamole to hold us off.

i'm now currently eating leftovers from the manicotti and it is scrumptulecent.  

now my man is off on business for a couple days.  kalel and i will be building a new lego star wars ship his grandpa got him...and hopefully time will fly.
